Recommended Rocket League settings
Researched August 2026. Copy any config below to grab these values.| Setting | PvP | Balanced | Visual Quality |
|---|---|---|---|
| Display modeGuides consistently recommend exclusive Fullscreen over Borderless for the lowest possible display/input latency. | Fullscreen | Fullscreen | Fullscreen |
| Ambient occlusionAmbient Occlusion is consistently disabled in competitive guides as an FPS cost with no gameplay-clarity benefit. | Off | Off | On |
| Anti-aliasing qualityCompetitive guides turn Anti-Aliasing off entirely, calling it one of the biggest FPS costs for negligible clarity benefit in Rocket League. | Low | Medium | High |
| Resolution scaleCompetitive guides recommend the 'High Performance' render quality preset, which renders below native resolution to maximize frame rate. | 75 | 90 | 100 |
| Texture qualityGuides suggest medium-to-low texture detail for competitive play to free up resources for frame rate, without hurting readability of the plain arena surfaces. | Medium | High | Epic |
| Effects qualityParticle/effect intensity is recommended at its lowest 'performance' setting so hits, boost trails, and explosions don't clutter the screen or cost FPS. | Low | Medium | Epic |
| Frame rate limitGuides recommend leaving frame rate uncapped (or capped just above monitor refresh) so competitive players hit the highest achievable FPS. | Uncapped | 144 FPS | 144 FPS |
| Shadow qualityDynamic Shadows are explicitly called out as one of the most demanding settings and are recommended off/lowest for max FPS. | Low | Medium | High |
| VSyncEvery guide agrees VSync should be off regardless of hardware because it introduces input lag, which is costly in competitive play. | Off | Off | Off |
| Foliage qualityGrouped with World/Particle Detail, foliage-adjacent scenery detail is recommended at its lowest performance preset for competitive play. | Low | Medium | High |
| Motion blurMotion Blur is universally recommended off because it blurs the ball and cars during the fast camera movement central to Rocket League. | Off | Off | Off |
| Post-process qualityBloom, lens flares, and light shafts are all recommended off in competitive guides since they wash out visibility during fast rotations. | Low | Medium | High |
| View distance qualityWorld Detail is recommended at its lowest/performance preset to reduce background clutter and maximize FPS. | Low | Medium | High |

What are the best graphics settings for competitive FPS games?
Most competitive players lower shadow quality, effects, and post-processing to maximize frame rate and reduce visual noise, while keeping texture and anti-aliasing settings high enough to spot enemies clearly. The exact values differ per game and per PC - that's why our configs come from real players and show every individual setting, so you can copy a proven setup that matches your hardware.
Is Settings For Games free?
Yes. Browsing, copying, and publishing configs is completely free, and so is the Windows app. No signup is needed to copy settings. If the project helps you, there's an optional donation link.
Will copying a config overwrite my keybinds or sensitivity?
No. The copy & merge dialog keeps your personal settings - keybinds, mouse sensitivity, audio levels, crosshair colors - and only takes the graphics and performance values from the community config. You can also copy the raw config if you want everything.
Is the Windows app safe to use?
The app is a portable EXE that never modifies game files beyond the official settings/config files each game already exposes. It previews every change before writing and creates an automatic backup, so you can restore your previous settings at any time. Unsigned builds can show a Windows SmartScreen prompt until the file builds reputation.
Which games are supported?
The app can automatically apply settings for Rust, ARC Raiders, Valorant, and League of Legends, and can read Counter-Strike 2 settings. On the website you can browse and copy configs for 70+ cataloged games, including Escape from Tarkov, Apex Legends, Fortnite, Warzone, PUBG, Overwatch 2, and Marvel Rivals - and you can suggest any game we're missing.
How do I share my own config?
Either upload your config file on the website (sign in, then "Publish a config"), or use the desktop app: it detects your installed games, reads your current settings, and publishes them to your profile in a couple of clicks. Configs can be public, unlisted, or private.
