Recommended Hell Let Loose settings
Researched August 2026. Copy any config below to grab these values.| Setting | PvP | Balanced | Visual Quality |
|---|---|---|---|
| Display modeBoth the esports.net guide and the Steam Community guide explicitly recommend fullscreen mode over borderless/windowed for Hell Let Loose. | Fullscreen | Fullscreen | Fullscreen |
| Ambient occlusionAll three consulted sources explicitly turn SSAO/ambient occlusion off for performance and to avoid extra dark shading that can hide players. | Off | Off | On |
| Anti-aliasing qualityBoth guides agree on High anti-aliasing quality with the Community TAA method for clean edges without heavy blur. | High | High | High |
| Resolution scaleesports.net explicitly recommends keeping resolution scale at 100% to avoid image distortion rather than reducing internal render resolution. | 100 | 100 | 100 |
| Texture qualityGuides disagree (esports.net keeps textures High for detail, TotalDebug drops them to Low for FPS), so Medium is used as a compromise for a performance-leaning profile. | Medium | High | Epic |
| Effects qualityTotalDebug explicitly sets FX/effects quality to Low specifically to see enemies through smoke and fire, a core pvp visibility need in this title's smoke-heavy combat. | Low | Medium | High |
| Frame rate limitNo source mandates a hard cap for pure competitive play; leaving it uncapped maximizes measured frame rate on a 100-player map where CPU/GPU load spikes heavily, consistent with both guides disabling vsync to avoid capping frame delivery. | Uncapped | 144 FPS | Uncapped |
| Shadow qualityTotalDebug's performance-and-visibility guide sets shadows to Low, and the Steam guide's general philosophy that lower settings help spot enemies backs the low-clutter choice for this pvp profile, even though esports.net suggests Medium. | Low | Medium | High |
| VSyncBoth detailed guides explicitly disable V-Sync to keep frame rates as high as possible. | Off | Off | Off |
| Foliage qualityBoth detailed guides independently recommend Medium foliage quality, with TotalDebug noting it avoids rendering extra bushes that can obstruct sightlines. | Medium | Medium | High |
| Motion blurAll three consulted sources explicitly disable motion blur for sharper target tracking. | Off | Off | Off |
| Post-process qualityBoth detailed guides independently land on Medium post-process quality as a performance/clarity balance. | Medium | Medium | High |
| View distance qualityTotalDebug recommends High view distance while esports.net pushes to Epic; High is used here as the performance-conscious middle ground for spotting distant infantry and vehicles. | High | High | Epic |

What are the best graphics settings for competitive FPS games?
Most competitive players lower shadow quality, effects, and post-processing to maximize frame rate and reduce visual noise, while keeping texture and anti-aliasing settings high enough to spot enemies clearly. The exact values differ per game and per PC - that's why our configs come from real players and show every individual setting, so you can copy a proven setup that matches your hardware.
Is Settings For Games free?
Yes. Browsing, copying, and publishing configs is completely free, and so is the Windows app. No signup is needed to copy settings. If the project helps you, there's an optional donation link.
Will copying a config overwrite my keybinds or sensitivity?
No. The copy & merge dialog keeps your personal settings - keybinds, mouse sensitivity, audio levels, crosshair colors - and only takes the graphics and performance values from the community config. You can also copy the raw config if you want everything.
Is the Windows app safe to use?
The app is a portable EXE that never modifies game files beyond the official settings/config files each game already exposes. It previews every change before writing and creates an automatic backup, so you can restore your previous settings at any time. Unsigned builds can show a Windows SmartScreen prompt until the file builds reputation.
Which games are supported?
The app can automatically apply settings for Rust, ARC Raiders, Valorant, and League of Legends, and can read Counter-Strike 2 settings. On the website you can browse and copy configs for 70+ cataloged games, including Escape from Tarkov, Apex Legends, Fortnite, Warzone, PUBG, Overwatch 2, and Marvel Rivals - and you can suggest any game we're missing.
How do I share my own config?
Either upload your config file on the website (sign in, then "Publish a config"), or use the desktop app: it detects your installed games, reads your current settings, and publishes them to your profile in a couple of clicks. Configs can be public, unlisted, or private.
