Recommended God of War Ragnarok settings
Researched August 2026. Copy any config below to grab these values.| Setting | Performance | Balanced | Visual Quality |
|---|---|---|---|
| Display modeNo God of War Ragnarok-specific guidance was found on display mode; exclusive Fullscreen is the standard PC recommendation for lowest input latency and best performance. | Fullscreen | Fullscreen | Fullscreen |
| Ambient occlusionBoth the Steam guide and GameRant found Ambient Occlusion at Ultra costs almost no framerate (about 1fps at 4K per pcoptimizedsettings), so it is kept on even in the performance profile. | On | On | On |
| Anti-aliasing qualitySources favor DLSS/FSR at Balanced-to-Quality tiers over pushing native TAA/AA quality, so a Medium AA setting keeps the image clean without the cost of the top tier. | Medium | High | Epic |
| Resolution scaleGameRant's guide explicitly recommends native resolution to avoid a blurry image, so the render scale itself is kept at 100 and upscalers (DLSS/FSR) are the recommended lever instead. | 100 | 100 | 100 |
| Texture qualityMultiple benchmarks found texture quality has minimal FPS impact (only VRAM usage changes), so it is left at High even in the performance profile. | High | High | Epic |
| Effects qualityAtmospherics/volumetric effects are called out as a meaningful cost by the Steam guide, so they are set to Low to prioritize framerate. | Low | Medium | High |
| Frame rate limitGameRant notes the frame rate limit is personal preference and should be disabled to maximize GPU throughput, so the performance baseline leaves it uncapped. | Uncapped | Uncapped | Uncapped |
| Shadow qualityShadows are the single most expensive setting in every tested source (up to a 45fps swing and ~32% cost at High/Ultra per GameGPU and the Steam guide), so the performance profile drops them to Low. | Low | Medium | Epic |
| VSyncGuides treat VSync as optional at typical refresh rates and it adds input latency, so it stays off for a performance-first profile. | Off | Off | On |
| Foliage qualityNo dedicated foliage/vegetation density setting was identified in the sourced guides, so this follows the performance profile's conservative default. | Low | Medium | High |
| Motion blurGameRant explicitly recommends disabling motion blur by default (only re-enabling it if stuck near 30fps), matching the general performance/clarity goal. | Off | Off | Off |
| Post-process qualityGuides recommend disabling cosmetic post effects like film grain outright, so post-processing is set to Low for maximum clarity and performance. | Low | Medium | High |
| View distance qualityModel/LOD quality was found to have little to no measurable FPS cost while High reduces distracting pop-in, so it is kept High rather than reduced with the rest of the profile. | High | High | Epic |

What are the best graphics settings for competitive FPS games?
Most competitive players lower shadow quality, effects, and post-processing to maximize frame rate and reduce visual noise, while keeping texture and anti-aliasing settings high enough to spot enemies clearly. The exact values differ per game and per PC - that's why our configs come from real players and show every individual setting, so you can copy a proven setup that matches your hardware.
Is Settings For Games free?
Yes. Browsing, copying, and publishing configs is completely free, and so is the Windows app. No signup is needed to copy settings. If the project helps you, there's an optional donation link.
Will copying a config overwrite my keybinds or sensitivity?
No. The copy & merge dialog keeps your personal settings - keybinds, mouse sensitivity, audio levels, crosshair colors - and only takes the graphics and performance values from the community config. You can also copy the raw config if you want everything.
Is the Windows app safe to use?
The app is a portable EXE that never modifies game files beyond the official settings/config files each game already exposes. It previews every change before writing and creates an automatic backup, so you can restore your previous settings at any time. Unsigned builds can show a Windows SmartScreen prompt until the file builds reputation.
Which games are supported?
The app can automatically apply settings for Rust, ARC Raiders, Valorant, and League of Legends, and can read Counter-Strike 2 settings. On the website you can browse and copy configs for 70+ cataloged games, including Escape from Tarkov, Apex Legends, Fortnite, Warzone, PUBG, Overwatch 2, and Marvel Rivals - and you can suggest any game we're missing.
How do I share my own config?
Either upload your config file on the website (sign in, then "Publish a config"), or use the desktop app: it detects your installed games, reads your current settings, and publishes them to your profile in a couple of clicks. Configs can be public, unlisted, or private.
