Recommended Dragon's Dogma 2 settings

Researched August 2026. Copy any config below to grab these values.
SettingPerformanceBalancedVisual Quality
Display modeThe Steam Community optimization guide explicitly recommends keeping Fullscreen rather than borderless/windowed for best performance.FullscreenFullscreenFullscreen
Ambient occlusionDragon's Dogma 2 only offers SSAO or SDFAO (no true off state); both guides use the lighter SSAO for lower/performance tiers, which this profile represents as ambient occlusion effectively disabled.OffOnOn
Anti-aliasing qualityGame Rant's low-end tier uses TAA alone rather than the heavier FXAA+TAA combo used at higher tiers; DD2 has no AA-off option, so TAA-only is the lightest available mode.MediumHighHigh
Resolution scaleNo consulted guide recommends dropping the internal resolution scale; they instead point performance-seekers to DLSS/FSR upscaling, which is outside this schema, so native scale stays at 100.100100100
Texture qualityAll three guides recommend keeping Texture Quality at High regardless of hardware tier, since it primarily scales a VRAM budget slider rather than rendering cost, with minimal FPS impact.HighHighHigh
Effects qualityDragon's Dogma 2 has no single named 'effects quality' slider; this is an editorial extrapolation from Twisted Voxel's discussion of optional visual flourishes (bloom, lens flare, depth of field) that a performance build would disable.LowMediumHigh
Frame rate limitBoth the Game Rant and Steam Community guides advise leaving the frame rate on 'Variable' (uncapped) rather than imposing a cap.UncappedUncappedUncapped
Shadow qualityBoth real-world guides converge on Mid shadows as the general balance point; this dedicated performance profile drops one tier further to Low since Dragon's Dogma 2's frame rate issues are largely CPU-bound in cities anyway, not shadow-bound.LowMediumEpic
VSyncGame Rant's performance table disables VSync across every hardware tier to avoid an artificial frame cap; the Steam guide's more conditional 'leave on unless tearing' stance is deprioritized here since this profile targets maximum FPS.OffOnOn
Foliage qualityMapped from Dragon's Dogma 2's Mesh Quality setting, which controls grass/foliage density in the RE Engine; Game Rant's low-end tier recommends Low.LowMediumHigh
Motion blurGame Rant explicitly turns Motion Blur off across all hardware tiers, and the Steam guide treats it as neutral/personal preference rather than recommending it on.OffOffOff
Post-process qualityNo guide names a discrete post-process slider; kept Low as an editorial default to reduce overhead from color grading/DOF-style effects alongside the other performance settings.LowMediumHigh
View distance qualityNone of the consulted guides call out a distinct view-distance slider; Medium is an editorial estimate based on the general LOD trend implied by their Mesh Quality tiering.MediumMediumHigh

Frequently asked questions

What are the best graphics settings for competitive FPS games?

Most competitive players lower shadow quality, effects, and post-processing to maximize frame rate and reduce visual noise, while keeping texture and anti-aliasing settings high enough to spot enemies clearly. The exact values differ per game and per PC - that's why our configs come from real players and show every individual setting, so you can copy a proven setup that matches your hardware.

Is Settings For Games free?

Yes. Browsing, copying, and publishing configs is completely free, and so is the Windows app. No signup is needed to copy settings. If the project helps you, there's an optional donation link.

Will copying a config overwrite my keybinds or sensitivity?

No. The copy & merge dialog keeps your personal settings - keybinds, mouse sensitivity, audio levels, crosshair colors - and only takes the graphics and performance values from the community config. You can also copy the raw config if you want everything.

Is the Windows app safe to use?

The app is a portable EXE that never modifies game files beyond the official settings/config files each game already exposes. It previews every change before writing and creates an automatic backup, so you can restore your previous settings at any time. Unsigned builds can show a Windows SmartScreen prompt until the file builds reputation.

Which games are supported?

The app can automatically apply settings for Rust, ARC Raiders, Valorant, and League of Legends, and can read Counter-Strike 2 settings. On the website you can browse and copy configs for 70+ cataloged games, including Escape from Tarkov, Apex Legends, Fortnite, Warzone, PUBG, Overwatch 2, and Marvel Rivals - and you can suggest any game we're missing.

How do I share my own config?

Either upload your config file on the website (sign in, then "Publish a config"), or use the desktop app: it detects your installed games, reads your current settings, and publishes them to your profile in a couple of clicks. Configs can be public, unlisted, or private.
